Part One: The Baby Steps
(these r the 4 main things u wanna focus on when first starting a new language)
LEARN THE ALPHABET
this is kind of obvious, if you're learning something like Arabic or Japanese, of course you should learn the alphabet. But this goes for all those other languages too, including the ones that have the same alphabet you're used to. The letters won't sound like how you know them, and knowing how the speakers of your target language say them will help you later down the line with pronunciation ^_^
LEARN BASIC PHRASES, GREETINGS ETC
So you know the alphabet now? Time to get to the fun stuff then :3 getting actual words into your vocabulary. The best way to start learning a language is to start small, and learning the most basic phrases is the best way to do that.
STAY CONSISTENT
Honestly, staying motivated is like top 3 hardest parts of learning a language. But you know what they say, consistency is key! 🤓☝️ Once you get the ball rolling it'll be hard to stop.
!!!LEARN THE GRAMMAR!!!
I literally cannot stress this enough. Learn the grammar of the language you're trying to learn. Without this you're basically trying to read a book while being blind. Like it doesnt work lol.
